Though they look like threaded metal, they're made with soft foam to help protect the wearer. Made with stem grips that looks like a Philips® head screw, this push to fit earplugs doesn't require rolling down of the earplugs which can help keep the foam tips clean and clear of debris, dirt and other foreign matter when inserting with gloves or dirty hands.
